Duties and Responsibilities of the Management Consultant

Business consultants, also known as management analysts, analyze and evaluate the day-to-day operations and functions of employees in various companies in order to find ways to improve the company's profitability and efficiency. Consulting firms and large corporations hire full-time business consultants, but business consultants can also work for themselves as independent contractors. Business consultants work primarily in office environments, often as temporary visitors to companies that have closed their services, but can also act as in-house consultants for large companies. Business consultants often travel to companies to perform their duties, and sometimes for extended periods of time.
