Duties and responsibilities of the industrial engineer



Industrial engineers use the principles of technology and engineering to eliminate inefficient and wasteful processes in a manufacturing environment. They focus on reducing costs, promoting safety, using efficient materials, and saving time and energy. They are in charge of analyzing processes, determining areas for improvement, communicating effectively, creating documentation and implementing training for new procedures.

A successful industrial engineer must have strong math and communication skills and understand a strong desire for efficiency and organization. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field, such as general engineering, economics, or manufacturing design and manufacturing.

Duties and responsibilities of the industrial engineer
